Accounts Payable Administrator

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, this position will be an integral part of the full cycle accounts payable process.

Duties

- Match, code and process large volumes of accounts payable invoices in an accurate and timely manner

- Work with purchasing and shipping to resolve pricing discrepancies

- Process weekly EFT/Wire/electronic payment run

- Follow up on any vendor inquires and correspondence

- Request and review vendor statements, follow up on unpaid invoices on regular basis

- Prepare month end and year end non-inventory accruals

- Maintain and file accounts payable records

- Assist accountants with accruals and other financial requests

- Assist with audit and compliance requests

- Recommend and assist with process improvement projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

- Must be able to interact with senior company management and internal customers in a productive and professional manner.

- Participate in special projects and analysis as required.

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Accounting

- 1-2 years of experience in relevant field, preferably in a manufacturing environment

- Great Plains or similar ERP experience is an asset

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Strong analytical skills

- Critical thinking for effective issue resolution.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

- Independent learner

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.

- Self-starter with a strong desire to help automate, streamline and document.
