We are seeking an experienced Storekeeper who will perform warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, inventory
management and reclaim functions under the direction of the Senior Storekeeper, Storekeeper III, or Central Stores Warehouse
Supervisor. Will be required to complete rotational training within all areas of the Materials Management. May be required to accept
work assignments within other sections of the Materials Management Department based on operational need.
- Receive, stock, store, and issue materials, equipment, and supplies while ensuring compliance with corporate standards,
report discrepancies, follow up on back orders, verify receipts against documentation, prepare claims for any quantity or
condition issues, and arrange for P.C.B. content and quality testing as required.
- Perform SAP transactions related to materials management using handheld barcode scanners and desktop computers.
- Assist in developing training materials and support the training and mentorship of junior or new staff.
- Contribute to maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy. Perform inventory counts as assigned. Review and assign
material bin locations. Responsible for the control and security of inventory at assigned Materials Management facilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and collaborate with other departments and business units within Manitoba
Hydro to ensure quality service and effective communication.
- Pick, prepare, and securely package materials for shipping according to schedules, ensuring material accuracy, condition, and
compliance with all regulations and documentation requirements, including Bills of Lading (BOL), hazardous material placards,
and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Receive, sort, recover, and accurately perform SAP movements on returned surplus of new and used materials, equipment,
and supplies, distinguishing between items to be repaired, returned to stock, or scrapped in accordance with corporate
guidelines.
- Operate, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on various classes of material handling equipment.
- Perform the duties and responsibilities of other Storekeepers during vacation or absence.
- Contribute to a strong safety culture within the designated area by adhering to and promoting Safe Work Practices (SWPs),
including proper lifting techniques (maximum of 50 lbs.), and maintaining safe body mechanics during frequent bending,
twisting, and turning. This position requires attention to identifying and mitigating potential hazards to ensure a safe work
environment for all team members.
- Minimum Grade 12 education with minimum two years of progressively complex experience in the materials management
field along with two years' experience of related SAP transactions and processes.
- Familiarity with electrical and gas apparatus, transmission, and distribution materials.
- Advanced knowledge of supply management practices, including inventory control.
- Physically capable of safely performing the principal duties of the position.
- Certifications in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS),

- Able to operate various classes of forklifts and reach trucks including Class VII – Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks
- Willing to obtain certification for operating pole handler equipment (e.g., Pettibone class).
- Required to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Manitoba Motor Vehicle Driver's Licence.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $27.53-$37.16 Hourly,
$52,744.38-$71,215.30 Annually.
