- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in month-end closing by preparing payable summaries and reports
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Prepare and process bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor statements and accounts.
- Facilitate timely payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and following up with vendors as needed.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status and outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records for tax and audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with W-9 requirements, sales tax rules, and other regulatory standards.
- Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Hands-on experience with financial software
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
