Title Landman

Norwood Land Services is seeking a Landman with Title, Curative & Leasing experience. Applicants must have 7-10 years minimum verifiable experience. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and detail oriented while working in a competitive and fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Building runsheets from patent to present

- Ability to examine and interpret complicated Mineral and Leasehold Title

- Create formatted ownership reports showing MI/WI/NRI (formulas and calculations within Microsoft excel) for multiple strata with differing mineral and working interests

- Identify title defects

- Curative duties of drafting affidavits and compiling family history

- Thorough understanding of HBP title

- Full understanding of modern lease language provisions

Job Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Energy Management, Land Management or Energy Commerce, but not required)

- 7-10 Years Experience –

- Permian and/or Delaware Basin preferred

- HBP title experience is required

- AAPL Membership required

Skills

- Ability to utilize and navigate all relevant online resources

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat

- Management of personnel resources

- Meet deadlines and fulfill obligations

- Familiar with Microsoft 365 – subscription is required
