The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, working and reviewing statements, working together with other departments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting the financial operations of the organization. This role would be approximately 10 hours/weekly, up to 20 hours during the month-end closing.
- Review, verify, and process invoices and expense reports.
- Emailing vendors and working with other departments for invoices.
- Ensuring proper coding and approvals of invoices to general ledger accounts.
- Assist in preparing check runs, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile and working vendor statements monthly.
- Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing and accruals.
- New Vendor and Employee Setup.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies, including Quarterly ESTMA Report.
- Other tasks and support as needed.
The work location for the Accounts Payable is Remote with an option to work from Perpetua Resource’s Donnelly or Boise, Idaho office. Some travel may be necessary to other Idaho locations including Boise and Stibnite.

- Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to explain policies and processes effectively.

- Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in account software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience 1 year in accounts payable or similar role.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or SAGE).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Generally, work in an office environment but must be able to travel as needed
