As an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing all accounts payable functions for the company. With our transition to NetSuite, we are looking for someone with strong NetSuite experience to support this change and improve efficiency in our accounting processes. Your knowledge of construction accounting and Colorado sales tax regulations will be essential in ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Manage Accounts Payable: Process, verify, and reconcile invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.
- NetSuite Implementation & Support: Leverage NetSuite to streamline A/P functions, optimize workflows, and provide training/support as needed.
- Credit Card Transaction Entry: Accurately enter and reconcile company credit card transactions.
- Parts-Only & Service Invoicing: Handle invoicing for parts sales and service work within NetSuite.
- Colorado Sales Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and jurisdictional tax laws, including preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Communicate with vendors regarding payment terms, discrepancies, and account reconciliation.
- Financial Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain organized records of transactions and tax filings for audits and reporting.
- Assist with Month-End & Year-End Close: Support financial reporting by providing accurate A/P data and reconciliations.Skills, experience, and qualities that will help you be successful:
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.
- Strong NetSuite experience required – ability to process transactions, optimize workflows, and assist with system transition.
- Knowledge of Colorado sales tax laws and filing procedures.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for vendor interactions and internal coordination.
