The Marketing Manager oversees marketing communications and strategy, including branding, publications, and event coordination. Leads strategic initiatives such as competitive intelligence, market analysis, and data-driven growth opportunities.

- Establishes and expands brand equity through customer engagement initiatives, including
- digital/social media, customer events, and tradeshows.
- Maintains and updates the AES Drilling Fluids website.
- Promotes the AES Drilling Fluids brand standard across company documents, promotional
- materials, digital media (website, social media), and facilities.
- Evaluates engagement performance through data analysis and identifies trends and opportunities
- for further innovation.
- Coordinates participation at customer events, schools, trade shows, and other activities to promote AES Drilling Fluids
- Develops materials and communication plans to launch new products.
- Maintains working knowledge and documentation of market conditions, including customer and
- prospective customer activities and plans.
- Tracks and reviews competitor capabilities and offerings, providing strategic assistance for bids
- and product initiatives.
- Remains continually abreast of changes, technology, and trends that can lead to improvements in AES products and services. personnel in customer service-related functions (i.e., R&D, laboratory, supply chain, quality, and operations).
- Develops sales proposals, reports, and sales-related information for existing and prospective customers and presents and explains proposals, reports, and findings to existing and prospective customers.
- Maintains and builds strong relationships with customers at all levels of their organizations.
- Effectively uses tools to manage and build customer relationships, including entertainment, business calls, technical support, conferences, and other appropriate outreach.
- Monitors and reports the marketing budget, identifying spending priorities and negotiating competitive pricing with quarterly status reports.
- Supports and participates in AES’s continual improvement program in conformity with ISO requirements.
- Conducts special projects and all other duties as assigned by the Vice-President and/or divisional management.
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Technical Degree in Engineering, Chemistry (or other degree relevant to the position) is preferred.
- At least three (5) years of sales, business development & marketing in the energy or chemical sector.
- Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Adobe and creative publishing software experience is preferred along with strong internet research skills.
- Valid driver’s license and the maintenance of a driving record satisfactory to AES.
