Perpetual Resource Partners LLC is a Dallas, TX-based privately funded oil and gas company focused on the acquisition and management of non-operated working interests in the Delaware Basin.
Perpetual is seeking a full-time Title Landman with experience in New Mexico and Texas with expertise in mineral and leasehold title examination, ownership verification, resolving title defects, and negotiating land agreements on BLM/State/Fee lands. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while being capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The role requires familiarity with the unique challenges of Permian Basin title, ensuring accurate research, calculations, and contracts to support our operations.
Title research to support acquisitions and asset management:
- Research public records to determine mineral and working interest ownership and prepare associated reports
- Review materials provided by third-party land services companies
- Review and cure title defects brought forth within title opinions or personal title examination
- Review, edit, and negotiate land related documents such as oil and gas leases, amendments, assignments, joint operating agreements, unit declarations, and title curative documents
- Manage due diligence processes for acquisitions
- Assist in asset management
- Reports directly to the President and works closely with Director of Acquisitions
- Evolution to a management position if the growth of Perpetual merits
- Deep knowledge of oil and gas leases, leasehold, and working interest title
- Superior attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience with complicated title and contract negotiations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the capability of independent thought and action, and the ability to work with minimal supervision using sound judgment
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines in a competent and professional manner
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a small team setting where the individual for this role will be asked to wear many different hats at once
- Delaware Basin experience- 5+ years of relevant industry experience working as a Title Landman or similar role
- Experience working on a smaller, growth-oriented team is a plus
- This position is a full-time, in-house position with a competitive salary and annual bonus commensurate with experience level
