Crane ChemPharma & Energy is a division within the Process Flow Technologies Business Segment of Crane Co, a US multi-national company which specializes in highly engineered products in specialty markets. Crane ChemPharma & Energy designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes a range of fluid handling equipment under multiple brand names for a wide range of applications in diverse markets including, but not limited, to the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Cryogenics and Energy.

- Reporting to the Director for Business Development & Marketing for Crane ChemPharma & Energy, this role is responsible for leading Business Development (M&A) projects and supporting Strategic planning to inform the organic and inorganic growth strategy for the business.
- For Business development the key deliverable is to conduct space assessments to determine attractiveness / extendibility, lead research and analysis for identification, screening, assessment of targets and support due diligence and integration of M&A targets.
- For Strategy the key deliverable is to partner with VP/GMs and business teams to help develop business cases and go-to-market strategies from concept to commercialization using strategy frameworks and tools as a part of structured Strategy development process.
- Conduct space assessments to identify attractive and extendible spaces for M&A
- Identify and screen potential acquisition targets, support target identification activities and help manage input to the corporate acquisition radar.
- Develop detailed profiles for acquisition targets and make recommendations for targets to pursue.
- Support valuation modelling, financial analysis, and business case development for acquisition targets to inform attractiveness and extendibility.
- Lead due diligence and integration activities for acquisition targets.
- Lead research, analysis, and business case development for divestitures.
- Conduct the research and analysis required to support the annual 3-year Strategic plan.
- Partner with Business VP/ GMs to define growth strategies for new markets / products using standard strategy frameworks.
- Support business teams to assess market sizing, competitive landscape, value chain analysis, economic value assessment, voice of customer, customer segmentation, commercialization plans and industrialization plans for strategic growth initiatives.
- Support the development of Marketing best practices to develop effective value propositions and sales tools that are practical to use and aligned to segmentation and region-specific requirements; ensure full alignment with the Sales organization.
- Proactively interact cross functionally with Sales, Marketing Communications, IT, Finance, and other functions to communicate routinely on key strategies, growth initiatives, and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or similar
- MBA highly preferred. Preferred concentrations Strategy, Finance, Marketing.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a strategy consulting, business development, M&A or corporate strategy preferably in Industrial Equipment, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Energy industry post MBA.
- Strong “Story telling skills”, ability to succinctly communicate insights, learnings to inform business decisions.
- Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills and communication skills to effectively build key relationships and be successful in a matrix organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Power Point and Excel is required.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools including but not limited to excel, Power BI, R, SQL databases.
