Marketing Manager (E-Commerce + Brand + Community Growth)
Build the Brand. Grow the Community. Make It Happen.
Black River / Summit Products is growing, and we’re not looking for someone to simply “run marketing.” We’re looking for someone to own it, build it, and push it forward. We make products for people who actually use their vehicles; UTV riders, hunters, tradesmen, and everyday folks who expect their gear to work. From UTV glass to B-Van accessories to our MATRIX truck toppers, we’re building a brand that stands for durability, reliability, and real-world use. This role brings everything together, brand, e-commerce, dealers, and community.
Build a Brand People Respect
You will shape and grow the Black River brand across all product lines, creating messaging that connects with real users, not corporate fluff, while ensuring consistency across digital channels, dealer networks, and in-field presence.
Own E-Commerce Growth (Core to This Role)
You will lead the performance of our website and online sales channels, manage and grow e-commerce partners and marketplaces, and optimize the full funnel from traffic and conversion to AOV and retention, turning online activity into real revenue.
Drive Demand That Converts
You will plan and execute campaigns designed to generate actual sales, leading digital, content, and social strategies with a focus on performance, continuous testing, and improvement.
Build & Lead the Community (Big Opportunity)
You will oversee and lead our Social & Community Manager while building a strong, authentic community around the brand. Including riders, hunters, tradesmen, and dealers. The goal is to create engagement that goes beyond likes, driving loyalty, trust, and advocacy. You will also work with partners, influencers, and industry relationships to expand reach and credibility.
Launch Products That Hit
You will lead go-to-market execution for new products and expansions, ensuring launches drive both awareness and revenue while working closely with sales and operations to execute cleanly.
Execute & Scale with Modern Tools
You will operate in a fast-moving environment where speed matters, leveraging modern tools, including AI, to improve content creation, campaign development, e-commerce optimization, and product marketing support. The focus is on eliminating repetitive work and prioritizing growth and strategy while staying curious about better ways to execute.
Support Dealers & Partners
You will help dealers sell more by providing better tools and marketing support, creating pull-through demand that strengthens the network, and building strong relationships with partners and vendors.
Execute & Lead
You will manage multiple priorities without losing momentum, build and lead a lean, high-performing marketing function, and stay hands-on in execution. This is a doer role that requires energy, accountability, and urgency.
- Experience leading marketing while actively executing
- Strong background in e-commerce
- Experience managing people (social, content, or agency partners)
- Experience across B2B and B2C (dealer + direct)- Scrappy, driven, and able to make things happen
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, build-as-you-go environment
- Automotive aftermarket
- Outdoor / off-road / hunting
- Equipment or blue-collar industries
- A growing, engaged Black River community
- Strong and consistent e-commerce revenue growth
- Dealers actively promoting and selling our products
- Product launches that create momentum and traction
- Marketing that clearly drives business, not just activity
- Base salary (based on experience)
- Performance incentives tied to growth
- High ownership, high impact role
- Opportunity to build a brand and community from the ground up
This isn’t a role where you manage a polished system; it’s where you build one, grow it, and own the outcome. If you want predictable and slow, this isn’t it. If you want to build a brand, grow a community, and make a real impact, this is the opportunity.
This role is NOT a fit if:
- You’ve only worked in large teams where execution was handed off
- You prefer managing agencies instead of owning the work
- You focus more on impressions than revenue and results
- You need everything fully defined before acting
- You’re uncomfortable being accountable for outcomes
- You’ve built or grown something and can prove it
- You’re comfortable owning e-commerce performance (not just traffic)
- You can lead people and jump in to execute
- You move fast, make decisions, and adjust quickly
- You take pride in making things happen, not just planning them
