Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist is the primary contact for technical support for IT related hardware, software, and other IT systems. The IT Support Specialist will primarily service end-user systems and assist in our server and network infrastructure environment as backup. The basic work week is Monday – Friday. Occasional after-hours and weekend work is required, both remotely and on-site. This position is great for someone who enjoys problem solving.
· A bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent job experience.
· 3 years of experience in Windows 10/11 desktop and LAN/WLAN network support.
· History of diagnosing and troubleshooting workstation, application, peripheral, and printer problems.
· Basic networking knowledge required. (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
· Provide technical support for business-critical applications, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, and IT infrastructure.
· Support MS Office 365 applications and troubleshooting (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
· Install and configure software, hardware, and peripherals.
· Manage inventory of IT assets, provision new devices, and coordinate third party repairs.
· Create and manage user profiles in a hybrid Azure Active Directory environment.
· Responsible for reviewing help ticket requests and providing documentation on troubleshooting and support activities.
· Utilize monitoring software to monitor network systems and devices.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
· Ability to work alone or with a team
· Possess excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
Essential Functions, Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
· Ability to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
· Position may involve working under desks, walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs and ladders.
