Job Summary
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the HR team at a unionized or non-unionized manufacturing facility, ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes, compliance, employee relations, and workforce administration. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting onboarding, assisting in labor relations documentation and employment laws. The HR Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and assists with benefits administration, compliance tracking, and HR reporting.
What will make you successful? Required Education/Experience
:
- Minimum One (1) year of HR administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with HR policies, labor laws (FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, ADA).
- Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems (e.g., Kronos, ADP, Workday), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining compliance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to HR support functions.
- SHRM-CP, or PHR, preferred.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and managing HR-related correspondence.
- Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, and compliance documentation in accordance with CBA and labor laws.
- Ensure HR documentation and policies align with union agreements, OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and other federal/state regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee data in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
- Assist in coordinating job postings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews where appropriate.
- Support the onboarding process, ensuring new hires receive HR policy training, benefits enrollment assistance and are properly set up in HR systems and have access to necessary resources.
