HR Coordinator


The HR Coordinator supports a broad range of day-to-day HR operations across PUSH and all affiliated divisions. This role plays a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee experience, and benefits administration, helping to ensure a consistent, organized, and high-quality experience for both candidates and employees.


The HR Coordinator supports talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing for entry-level roles, and coordination with hiring managers, as well as participation in career fairs and workforce development initiatives. This role also supports employee benefits administration, serving as a primary point of contact for enrollment, education, issue resolution, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.


As a member of the HR team, the HR Coordinator contributes to strong execution, consistency, and a positive employee experience in a fast-paced, multi-state, multi-entity environment, with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR and grow within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Recruiting & Talent Acquisition


- Maintain job postings across multiple platforms to support hiring needs across regions

- Participate in candidate screening and interviewing for entry-level roles, in partnership with hiring managers

- Coordinate interviews, scheduling, and candidate communications

- Maintain applicant tracking, candidate pipelines, and organized recruiting records

- Support and participate in career fairs, school partnerships, and workforce development efforts

- Ensure a professional, timely, and consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process

- Assist with pre-employment processes, including background checks and offer coordination



Onboarding & Employee Experience


- Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a consistent and positive experience

- Prepare onboarding materials and ensure completion of required documentation

- Serve as a point of contact for new hires during onboarding and early tenure

- Support employee check-ins throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and early tenure

- Coordinate and execute employee engagement and retention initiatives, including events, recognition efforts, and company-sponsored activities

- Support employee recognition programs, including service anniversaries, birthdays, and other milestones

- Assist in gathering employee feedback and supporting initiatives that enhance engagement and retention

- Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation and coordination



Benefits Administration


- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life event changes

- Oversee COBRA administration and support ongoing compliance

- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit questions, education, and issue resolution, with support from the HR team

- Lead and support employee benefits education efforts, including onboarding, open enrollment, and ongoing communication to help employees understand available programs and make informed decisions

- Coordinate with benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators, including renewals, plan changes, escalations, and issue resolution

- Plan and support company-wide benefits enrollment and education initiatives, including materials, sessions, and communications

- Maintain accurate benefit records and documentation

- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and resolve discrepancies



HR Operations


- Assist with employee records and ensure data accuracy across HR systems

- Support employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and general questions

- Assist with HR documentation, reporting, and administrative processes

- Support implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and programs

- Support performance review processes, including coordination, tracking, and documentation



Compliance & Reporting Support


- Support compliance with federal, state, and company HR requirements

- Assist with ACA tracking and reporting in partnership with Payroll and external partners

- Support HR audits, reporting, and documentation as needed

- Ensure proper recordkeeping and documentation to meet compliance standards



Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement


- Maintain HR system data integrity and support system updates

- Assist in developing and maintaining HR processes and documentation

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience

- Support reporting and data analysis as needed



Collaboration


- Partner closely with Payroll to ensure alignment on employee data and benefit deductions

- Support the HR team on HR initiatives and projects

- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to support HR operations and employee needs

- Perform other duties as assigned



Education and/or Experience:


- Education:

Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

- Work Experience:

2–4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, benefits administration, or administrative support role preferred.


- Industry Knowledge:

Prior experience in the construction industry or multi-state environment preferred.



Requirements:


- Working knowledge of recruiting processes, employee benefits administration, and HR operations

- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
