Job Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator based out of Spokane Valley, Washington to support multi-state HR operations in a union-involved environment. This is an in-office position and requires daily on-site presence. This role is responsible for HR administration, onboarding, benefits support, employee relations assistance, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The position requires a detailed-oriented professional with a high level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
- Coordinate multi-state onboarding and new hire processing
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and COBRA
- Assist with leave administration including Washington Paid Sick Leave and Paid Family & Medical Leave programs
- Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws
- Process employment verifications and personnel changes
- Support workers’ compensation reporting and case tracking
- Assist with HR policy administration and compliance consistency across states
- Support EEO, new hire reporting, and other compliance reporting
- Coordinate with union representatives regarding workforce matters, dispatches, and contract compliance
- Assist in administering and interpreting collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
- Support grievance tracking and documentation
- Handle, maintain, and protect sensitive and confidential employee and company information with a high degree of discretion
- Maintain office organization, supplies, and general administrative support functions
- Assist with scheduling, mail distribution, and coordination of meetings or interviews
- Provide general administrative HR support
- High school diploma or equivalent required; HR or related degree preferred
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
- Experience in a multi-state HR environment preferred
- Union or collective bargaining agreement experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance principles
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Overtime eligible in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws (Non-Exempt classification)
