Accounts Receivable Administrator (Temporary - Maternity Leave Coverage)

Summary

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Administrator is responsible for maintaining accounts receivable collections at 85% current or above. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely customer payments and supporting overall financial health.

This is a

temporary 12-month position

to cover a maternity leave, offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

- Proactively contact customers via phone and email to collect outstanding balances.

- Investigate, reconcile, and resolve customer balance disputes in a timely manner.

- Record clear, concise notes for each customer contact related to collections.

- Present monthly outstanding receivables reports to branch teams via Microsoft teams.

- Review and maintain the AR mailbox to address customer inquiries promptly.

- Provide backup support for cash application processes.

- Submit invoices through online platforms such as Open Invoice, Cortex, and Ariba.

- Conduct credit application background checks as required.

- Perform additional duties and tasks assigned.

Qualifications

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel.

- Experience and/or working knowledge of SAP.

- Familiarity with third-party invoicing platforms a must.

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.

- Outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.

- Team-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
