HMT is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform all assigned accounting responsibilities

- Communicate effectively with project managers and vendors

- Maintain confidentiality of company information

- Manage incoming and outgoing emails for the Accounts Payable inbox

- Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner; maintain organized records

- Research and respond promptly to vendor payment inquiries

- Create and issue purchase orders for vendors

- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all invoices are properly recorded

- Set up and maintain vendor accounts, complete credit applications

- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies

- Assist the finance team with documentation for audits

Qualifications & Education

Experience

- 1+ years of accounts payable and/or general accounting experience

- High school diploma or GED required

- Working knowledge of accounts payable processes

- Familiarity with general bookkeeping procedures

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
