New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Long-Term Temporary (LTT) Customer Service Representative to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced call center environment.
Major Responsibilities:
•
Answer in-bound calls and actively listen to customers concerns.
•
Strive for first call resolution by efficiently addressing customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues and providing accurate solutions.
•
Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in the system.
•
Follow company policies and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality service.
•
Meet performance metrics, including call handling time and customer satisfaction scores.
•
Provide information about products and services.
•
Cross-sell and upsell service contracts to customers.
•
Coordinate with field representatives to ensure needs of customers are being met.
•
Operate in a team environment with customer satisfaction as the goal.
Position Requirements:
•
High School diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
•
At least 3 years recent customer service experience in a fast-paced call center/customer service environment is strongly preferred
•
Complete accelerated training and be able to pass several tests within the training period
•
Able to sit for extended periods of time taking calls on a headset, communicating with customers, and entering information into the computer system.
•
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
•
Proactive with a high-level of initiative and be creative problem solvers.
•
Candidates should be adaptable; comfortable with learning and mastering new technologies
•
Comfortable with cross-selling and up-selling products to customers
•
Available to attend training for the first several weeks which take place Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
•
Upon completion of training, be available to work any shifts between the hours of 5:00 AM and 10 PM Monday through Friday AND 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM Saturday Sunday.
