Location: Corporate Office North Bay, ON

Hybrid Work Schedule: Remote Option: MondayFriday / In-Office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

General Purpose of This Position:

Reporting to the Supervisor, AR and Payroll, the Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with all Canadian regulations, and providing support to junior staff while maintaining accurate payroll records.


Essential DutiesResponsibilities:


HealthSafety

- Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and policies.

- Identify and report any hazards or infractions to the Health and Safety Department


Payroll Administration:

- Oversee the complete payroll process for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

- Process provincial/territorial statutory remittances in a timely manner.

- Assist with year-end reconciliation and T4 preparation and submission.

- Review Canadian payroll legislation and ensure compliance obligations.

- Conduct payroll audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to support company operations.

- Assist with financial internal and external audit requests.

- Review and reconcile month end payroll journals to the general ledger.

- Provide training and support with the time entry system.

- Assist with implementation of payroll best practices to improve efficiency and standardize processes.

- Provide back-up for executive payroll and executive benefits support.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


- None


Travel Requirements:

- This position would not normally have the requirement to travel.


EducationExperience

- A minimum of 5+ years of payroll experience.

- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or Certificate in Payroll.

- National Payroll Institute - Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) level required.

- Designation as a Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) is considered an asset.

- Strong understanding of financial accounting and payroll integration.

- Experience with JD Edwards Oracle software is an asset.

- Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) required.

- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and a paperless environment.

- Proven ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive payroll information.

Cementation Americas has successfully implemented a hybrid work schedule in all our Corporate Offices. All office staff have the option of remote work Mondays and Fridays, while working the balance of the week (Tues/Wed/Thurs) in the office.
