Customer Service Representative

Taylor Gas, Heating & Air is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Lexington Park, MD.

Schedule:

- Monday-Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm

- Minimal weekend hours during the winter season, as needed

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative supports daily office operations by providing excellent customer service, handling administrative and clerical tasks, and assisting with account-related functions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform data entry accurately in various software systems and databases

- Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system

- Interact with customers daily via phone and other communication channels

- Process customer orders, service requests, and new account applications

- Assist with accounts receivable functions

- Manage and report on special customer programs

- Interface professionally with prospective and existing customers

- Maintain organized records and meet service timelines and deadlines

- Participation in a rotational on-call schedule to support customers with after-hours emergencies

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software systems

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Strong typing skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced office environment

- Dependability, reliability, and consistent attendance are essential

Pay & Benefits

- Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
