Position Description
The Staffing Specialist provides support to the department by performing a variety of administrative and clerical office functions.
Essential Functions
- Provide administrative support to department managers and directors
- Provide guidance and administrative support other clerical members of the team
- Perform a wide range tasks using the computer
- Maintain files and other records
- Send candidates new hire instructional email
- Create New Hire Packet
- Conduct background checks and I-9 E-Verify
- Prepare and send onboarding kits (drug kits, safety vests etc.)
- Enter new hire packets into UltiPro
- Responsible for tracking and coordination of all paperwork associated with the onboarding of new hires and terminations of field employees
- Interface with field employees and client representatives
- Assist in development of department procedures, processes and systems focused on onboarding, compliance, offboarding, and other staffing areas.
- Provide input to streamlining efforts to effectively and efficiently process employee documentation for staffing and compliance needs
- 2-5 years’ work experience as an administrative assistant in a corporate work environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail oriented
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Prior experience utilizing copier, fax, and other office machines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
