The purpose of the Payroll Specialist role is to ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial well-being of employees and the overall operational efficiency of the organization.
The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
- Processes weekly/bi-weekly payroll for 2,000+ team members, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Reviews and verify integrated data for accuracy before processing payroll.
- Scans and uploads payroll documents into the system.
- Manages and responds to team member payroll emails promptly, providing excellent customer service.
- Completes payroll-related reports as needed by other departments within the company.
- Develops and maintains training and process documents related to payroll functions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with experience in ADP or similar payroll systems.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
