- Coordinate and schedule service appointments, ensuring optimal routing using GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management systems.
- Dispatch technicians promptly based on priority, location, and skill set, maintaining clear communication via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette standards.
- Monitor real-time fleet movements through GPS tracking and manage transportation planning to maximize efficiency and reduce delays.
- Utilize data entry skills to update systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 with accurate dispatch details, service logs, and shipment information.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to manage freight, shipping & receiving, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers for seamless supply chain operations.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, service requests, and incident reports while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication, active listening, and problem-solving during dispatch calls.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret GPS data, GIS mapping outputs, and transportation management system reports for effective decision-making.
- Proficiency in transportation planning, fleet management software, and logistics coordination tools such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while demonstrating superior phone etiquette.
- Data entry expertise with high accuracy in systems like AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning platforms.
- Knowledge of freight management, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL operations to support supply chain efficiency.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and transportation planning principles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking across dispatching duties.
