Job Function
- Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying material
- Interview and hire staff, and oversee staff training
- Locate vendors of materials and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
- Prepare and process purchase orders for material
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
- Prepare and implement instructions regarding purchasing systems, policies, and procedures
- Manage and administer inventory turn per corporate instructions
- Keep inventory within the appropriate levels
- Contract and arrange for disposal of surplus material and scrap
- Assist sales department on mill inquiries and metallurgy assistance
- Sit on ISO Steering Committee
- Manage annual inventory count
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling ofwords, rules of composition, and grammar
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques formaximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $75,000.00/Yr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
