Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily operations by purchasing materials, supplies, and services required for production and facility needs. This role ensures accurate ordering, timely delivery, cost control, and effective vendor coordination to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Purchase all required MRO materials in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner

- Enter purchase orders into the system and receive orders once products or services are completed

- Maintain and manage vendor relationships to support availability, pricing, and service levels

- Research and identify new suppliers to improve cost efficiency and quality

- Address and resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or vendor concerns

- Prepare and maintain purchasing and inventory related reports

- Coordinate the removal of waste and scrap materials from the facility

- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procurement standards

Qualifications and Experience

- 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role

- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

- Experience working with vendors and resolving delivery or order issues

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or operations environment

- Proficient with basic computer systems, purchasing software, and standard office tools
