Purchasing Specialist

Job Description

Premiere manufacturing and assembly company is seeking a qualified Purchasing Specialist. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of relevant experience working in a procurement field. This position will require a highly energetic, fully engaged, forward thinking individual. The successful candidate will support the organization in all aspects the procurement phase. The compensation will be based on past experience. Due to contractual requirements with customers the candidate must be a US citizen.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage overall procurement process in ERP system.

- Contact vendors to obtain quotations on various items and analyze for best value.

- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders to acquire materials, components, supplies, equipment and inventory consistent with standards of quality and production schedules.

- Communicate with vendors to assure that all compliance documentation requirements are fulfilled.

- Support internal and external customers, outside vendors and third-party contractors.

- Track purchase orders and research as necessary.

- Work with management team on overview and process improvement activities.

Job Requirements

- 2+ years of purchasing experience.

- Degree in business or similar discipline (preferred)

- Experience in logistics/supply chain management.

- Experience with ERP or MRP systems

- Understanding of the ISO 9001 quality system (preferred)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially strong in Excel.

- Flexible; must be able to work cross-functionally.

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
