Job Summary
The Office Manager will oversee the daily administrative operations of a busy scrap recycling business. Responsibilities include managing office communications, maintaining records, coordinating schedules, and handling bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, payroll, and vendor payments. The role also involves liaising with customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and supporting the management team in streamlining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, along with experience in office management or related roles. Familiarity with recycling industry practices is a plus.
Responsibilities
•Maintain accurate company and accounting files.
•Oversee office certifications, renewals, inspections, and submissions.
•Review, verify and pay Accounts Payable invoices checking for accuracy and submitting for approval.
•Manage expenses, handle inquiries, and resolve discrepancies.
•Assist with month-end financial closings and support management tasks.
•Coordinate and schedule scrap exports, ensuring payments and paperwork are completed.
•Ensure HR and Safety compliance, maintaining accurate records.
•Perform other tasks as needed.
