Summary:
The Senior Division Order Analyst performs and oversees communicating with Working Interest Partners and Royalty Owners, the review of documents, and our goal is to respond to all inquiries in a timely, efficient manner. This person is expected to give support to owners and is someone who can answer inquiries quickly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work in the Land Department performing various administrative and land tasks related to day-to-day as well as acquisition based.
The individual will work closely with other Land Department staff, Accounting Department staff as well as Technical Operations staff to ensure that the Company's responsibilities to working interest and royalty owners are met.
The Senior Division Order Analyst is responsible creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of record title ownership division of interest for billing and revenue distribution in an organized manner, maintaining owner's ownership information (working interest, royalty interest, override interest) in our systems and working with the Accounting Department to create new ownership decks and process ownership changes.
The individual will need excellent communication skills to interact with Royalty and Working Interest Owners.
Maintain positive relationship with owners and Working Interest Partners.
Analyze a variety of legal documents such as title opinions, land contracts, operating agreements, and oil and gas leases to determine ownership and lease burden relationships for production proceeds into Quorum On-Demand Accounting (ODA).
Collaborate with the Land team to clear and cure title, maintaining correct divisions of interest as payouts and recompletions occur. Support Land staff with day-to-day duties as well as responsibilities created during acquisitions.
Generate various ownership reports including but not limited to those for Joint Interest Billing (JIB), Net Revenue Interest (NRI), Owner Revenue Detail History, and Owner Suspense History.
Key Competencies and Qualifications:
7 - 10 years of experience in a land administration, management, or Division Order Analyst role with emphasis on oil, gas, or mineral leasing and contracts.
Experience with applications such as: LandView (Peloton Land System), GIS, On-Demand Accounting (ODA – Quorum), Enervus, EnergyLink, and OpenInvoice.
Detail-oriented and organized with strong verbal/written communications skills.
Proficient with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Flexible: We are fast paced, so we need someone who is amenable to change and ambiguity.
Utilize patience and good communication skills to ascertain the root causes of issues as they arise, obtain needed information and/or documents to resolve issues, and provide accurate resolution feedback.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to foster teamwork in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving; hands on worker.
Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to maintain accuracy despite interruptions.
