Job Summary
The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for the nomination process of natural gas, NGLs and crude oil deliveries for Murphy Oil Corporation in Kaybob and Montney assets, including monitoring operational flows throughout the month. They will also monitor systems flows on the company’s committed pipelines and trucking contracts.
The Marketing Analyst will work in our Calgary office and may work up to two (2) days a week remotely, as business needs allow.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system flows, nominations, and capacity changes on various natural gas pipeline systems and communicate scenarios to production team
- Responsible for nomination process including monitoring of NGL and crude oil deliveries throughout month
- Communicate production changes to marketers to manage sales positions
- Financial reporting including monthly price accruals and estimates, reserve pricing, Budget and Long-Range Plan pricing, impairment and demand charge reporting, weekly and daily price updates
- Key contact for settlement process including price and volume confirmations, and verification of invoices
- Responsible for receiving, verifying, and Allegro trade system deal entry; ensure internal audit contract process is followed
- Allegro trade system deal entry (Gas/Crude/NGLs)
- Assist with preparation of marketing proposals and presentations
- Provide market data analytics to support marketing decisions
- JV logistics support for Kaybob asset
- Commercial contracting support
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in natural gas and/ or crude oil pipeline infrastructure
- Strong system aptitude with advanced skills in MS Excel
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical analysis skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse groups of individuals
- Displays a high-level of integrity in all actions, complying with and promoting the company’s core values, a respectful work environment, and aligning with the code of business conduct.
- Ability to work effectively, confidentially, and professionally in a rapidly changing business environment
- Results-oriented with the ability to work independently, prioritize work and multi-task effectively
- SAP experience
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 CAD
