The Business Analyst, Digital Transformation plays a key role in advancing Five Star Energy Services’ strategic technology initiatives by leading hands-on configuration, support, and continuous improvement of core business applications. This individual is embedded in digital transformation efforts focused on enhancing operational tools used in project management, field operations, finance and related areas.
The analyst partners directly with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into business processes, design and configure cloud-based transactional systems, lead functional testing, and support users post-deployment. Unlike traditional analyst roles, this is not a handoff position—this individual will execute system configuration, testing, and rollout themselves.
A deep understanding of construction and operations workflows, strong technical acumen, and a collaborative mindset are key to success. This person also serves as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams, ensuring changes are practical, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and prioritize requests related to system enhancements, new implementations, and business process improvements.
- Analyze requirements and directly configure cloud applications (e.g., ERP, construction tech platforms) to meet functional needs.
- Lead functional testing and troubleshooting, managing bug resolution, user feedback, and post-launch support.
- Document business processes, technical configurations, and training materials in a clear, accessible format.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for core platforms supporting field operations, finance, and project delivery.
- Develop rollout and change management plans, coordinating with users and stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption.
- Leverage automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Power Automate, UiPath) to streamline workflows and reduce low value work.
- Provide insights and recommendations that consider cross-functional and cross-technology impacts.
- Foster strong relationships with business users and earn trust as a proactive, solutions-oriented partner.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to construction tech and cloud ERP platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role
- Must be US Citizen or Greencard holder
- Hands-on experience with system configuration in platforms such as Vitruvi, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Acumatica, or Oracle ERP
- Familiarity with process automation tools such as Workato, Power Automate or UiPath
- Proven ability to gather, document, and implement complex technical and business requirements
- Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, field-centric environment
- Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Experience supporting field operations, finance, or construction workflows highly desirable
- Experience managing external vendors or support partners is a plus
- Project management and/or Lean/Six Sigma certifications are a plus
