Job Summary:
The Business Analyst facilitates assigned projects by serving as a liaison between cross-functional teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
The Business Analyst plays a vital role in the organization by acting as a bridge between cross-functional teams and business stakeholders. In this capacity, they analyze business systems and operational needs to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
They are responsible for documenting requirements and helping design solutions that align with overall business strategies. By reviewing and interpreting data, the Business Analyst develops actionable plans and provides practical, results-driven recommendations.
Additionally, they communicate insights and proposed solutions to key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support successful implementation. Through data analytics and strategic planning, the Business Analyst contributes to maximizing productivity and overall operational effectiveness.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Strong commitment to safety is required.
- Works independently or in a team setting under the direction of the Vice President of Strategy and Solutions to accomplish objectives. Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives and points of emphasis, and possesses the ability to utilize references, procedures, and informational sources to develop possible solutions.
- Manage relationships for the strategy and solutions team by owning the Customer Resource Management system (CRM) to track all external engagements. This entails keeping the CRM up-to-date, tracking all engagements, summarizing and reporting on engagements to Management, and communicating with external stakeholders, ensuring that no engagements are missed or overlooked.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current engagements using operational metrics and reports.
- Determines how to prioritize internal team's time and engagements to optimize for impact
- Work closely with Sr VP of Strategy and Solutions to manage all engagements with potential customers and partners.
- Determine team objectives by studying business landscape, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives as required and present findings.
- Define project engagements by managing project milestones, forming project teams, and establishing project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs.
- Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data to develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate cross functionally with other staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
- Responds to inquiries and provides advice to stakeholders regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
- Monitor progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
- Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of the approved changes.
- Maintain a library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
- Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
- Determines how changes to the project will affect the business and systems.
- Recommend controls by identifying problems and developing improved procedures.
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models.
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analysis to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
- Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.
- Must comply with all company rules and regulations pertaining to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards including, but not limited to, safe work practices, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, and any additional policies as directed by Company Officials.
- Must comply with all company issued policies, guidelines, and handbook as directed by Company Officials.
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items up to twenty-five (25) pounds, bending, standing, reaching, climbing, walking, or sitting.

- Must have strong communication, organization, documentation, and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AI assistants, and other programs) and be able to work and communicate with all levels of Staff to be successful.

- Assists in any and all areas assigned by Company Officials, Directors, Managers, Engineers, or other Personnel.
- Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness in the work area.

- Welcome visitors upon arrival, ensure all necessary agreements are completed, issue visitor/security badges, and direct guests to the appropriate conference room or team member
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail; direct delivery drivers to the appropriate shipping and receiving area for incoming shipments
- Maintain daily office operations, including ordering and restocking printer supplies, office supplies, and kitchen inventory; keep common areas tidy and well-stocked
- Monitor and maintain conference room calendars; assist with meeting setup and ensure rooms are cleaned and reset at the end of each day
- Assist the team in planning internal events and celebrations, such as birthdays, work anniversaries, and team gatherings
- Provide administrative support to HR, Procurement, Facilities, Safety, and other departments, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, ordering lunches, inventory management, and supporting project-based work
- Coordinates communication across departments and shares key updates and announcements across the organization
- Assist with scheduling on-site interviews and guest, vendor, and contractor visits as needed
- Perform other administrative or office coordination duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, business analytics management, finance, or related field of study.
- At least one to two years of previous experience in business development or a related field with a focus on process improvement, data analysis, or relationship management
- Incumbents with less experience may be considered with demonstrated competency and/or ability with management approval.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs.
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.
- Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
- Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully.
- Helpful but not required: Minor, certification and/or prior experience in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
Knowledge Required:
Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Mathematics and Analytics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
