Manual Machinist

CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Manual Machinist at our Service Center in Palmetto, FL.

Requirements / Qualifications:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- Must be able to operate various manual lathes

- Experience required, preferably 3-5 years

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and able to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

- Machine parts as required to the exact specifications

- Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, and boring.

- Perform various metalizing techniques as needed.

- Fabricate and manufacture various parts

- Follows all electrical safety rules.

- Keeps facility clean and orderly.

- May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting.

- Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting.

- Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities.

- Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned.

Hours:

- Monday - Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm)

Pay Frequency:

- Weekly

FLSA Status:

- Non-Exempt

Work Environment:

- Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled shop.

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to regularly move items weighing up to 50 pounds,

Reporting Relationships:

- The Manual Machinist reports to the Motor Shop Manager.
