We not only machine fittings and flanges, we also manufacture spectacle products, bleed rings, and various pipeline related products.

Global Machine & Supply Inc. is currently seeking a motivated manual machinist with knowledge and experience in operating vertical & horizontal lathes.

Job Requirements:

- Manufacture parts to engineered drawing and specifications

- Perform 4 jaw set up independently in a timely manner.

- Ensure quality meets or exceeds internal company and international standards

- Meet or exceed the scheduling requirements to ensure parts can be completed on or ahead of schedule.

- Be part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement

- Perform work in accordance with safety program and procedures, with due care and attention for both yourself and your co-workers

- Ability to be organized and keep work area clean.

- Perform daily maintenance of machines and equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance programs

Qualifications:

- Minimum Grade 12 education; equivalency considered.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience required

- Demonstrated proficiency, through pre-employment testing, in reading comprehension, writing and basic math calculations in the English language

- Knowledge and use of 4 jaw chucks efficiently is a necessity.

- Safe and efficient use of hand tools required

- Experience with using various measuring instruments an asset

- Previous Crane operation experience is considered an asset

- Manual labor work experience is required

- Previous experience in a production/manufacturing machining or assembly environment

- Oil and gas industry experience is an asset

Physical Demands

- Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job,

- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
