This position requires experience purchasing vehicles, managing their deployment and maintenance, monitoring fuel consumption, etc. The vehicles are used for field work, not freight.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager to take over and operate a fleet management program that was established approximately one year ago. With 150+ assets across the country, this role will focus on maintaining, improving, and executing the systems, processes, and tools that are already in place. You’ll be responsible for running and optimizing a maturing fleet management function to ensure our fleet operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and scheduling.
- Maintain and refine the fleet management policies, procedures, and workflows that have already been developed.
- Oversee and improve fuel management, including monitoring consumption and refining purchasing strategies.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal vehicle regulations.
- Keep accurate, current records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and asset lifecycle data.
- Analyze fleet performance metrics and implement improvements to reliability, uptime, and cost control.
- Work collaboratively with drivers and department heads to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize asset availability.
- Align fleet operations with broader company goals by partnering with other departments.
- Use and enhance existing fleet management software, tools, and technologies to improve reporting, visibility, and operational control.
- Support continuous improvement efforts as the fleet program evolves.
- Experience:
Proven experience in fleet management or a related field, with measurable success in improving operations and reducing costs.
- Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance processes, fleet management platforms, and regulatory standards.
- Organizational Skills:
Ability to juggle multiple priorities, maintain comprehensive records, and meet deadlines.

Comfortable interpreting performance data and making data-driven improvements.
