General Summary:
Responsible for operating and programming coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for internal requirements and customer supplied designs.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and execute CMM programs in accordance to customer designs and internal requirements.
- Interpret blueprints for a variety of machined components.
- Perform gage calibration and gage repair.
- Participate in completion of Gage R&R studies.
- Participate in Capability Analysis.
- Utilize various inspection tools to complete in-process inspections.
- Complete all other assigned tasks as determined by management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of PC’s and related software.
- Ability to read prints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Knowledge of AIAG support manuals (APQP, SRC, FMEA, MSA, PPAP)
- The CMM Programming Technician will interact between both an office and production floor setting. Must be able to adhere to all conditions of the plant.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (50%) and on their feet (50%) in a production environment.
- Must be able to move about inside the office and in the plant.
- This position will operate a computer and other machinery in the plant.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person and telephone.
- Prior CMM training – required
