CMM Operator - Calibration Technician

Position Summary: Maintains / coordinates Calibration Systems and provides metrologysupport via CMM and / or other applicable methods as needed for product /processvalidation.

Maintain Calibration System and related Procedures/ Work Instructions for calibration. Conduct calibrations of hand held measurement devices (e.g. calipers, micrometers,indicators, etc.) per calibration schedules. Conduct calibration of straight edges, squares, gage pins, etc. utilizing CMM or otheracceptable methods per calibration schedules. Utilize GAGEtrak for calibration documentation I control. Write and maintain calibration work instructions for each gage type. Work with Quality Technician to insure outside calibration requirements are establishedand maintained. Conduct CMM Inspections for production products where required. Conduct CMM Inspections of product and/or tooling as needed for problem solvingactivities as assigned. CMM Inspection for FAl's, providing data in needed formats to meet AS9100 and/orCustomer Specific requirements. Provide interpretation of GD&T tolerancing for Quality Engineers and Process Engineerswhen present in customer requirements. Training of Qualified Inspectors, Quality or Engineering team members for set up andrunning existing CMM routines as applicable. Develops and maintains new CMM Inspection routines for products that require and/orneed CMM Inspection. Includes: Set Up via Rayco plates and/or custom fixtures as needed. Writing CMM Inspection Programs via PCDMIS based on customer and/orinternal drawings. Writing Instructions for set up and running of same programs for use by QualifiedInspectors when needed.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent 3-5 years of experience with CMM set-up and programmingo Proficient with PCDMIS or similar CMM Softwareo Understanding of GD&T methodology and interpretationo Understanding of both Si and metric units of measurement Knowledge/experience with small tool calibration per ISO17025 or equivalentspecifications. Experience with gage tracking software such as GAGEtrak Pro Proficient with applicable handheld gages (e.g. calipers, micrometers, etc.) Experience with writing Procedures/Work instructions Good Communication skills, both written and verbal
