We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled CNC Manufacturing Engineer Manager to lead our manufacturing operations focused on precision machining and automation. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of CNC machining processes, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety across our manufacturing facility. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster innovation in manufacturing techniques, and manage a team of engineers and technicians dedicated to excellence in production. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader passionate about advancing manufacturing technology and delivering high-quality products through expert process engineering and robotics integration.
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of CNC machining processes to meet production goals while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Manage project scheduling for manufacturing projects, ensuring timely completion of process upgrades, equipment installations, and tooling development.
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex issues related to CNC equipment, tooling failures, or process deviations, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Oversee the design and review of schematics, CAD drawings (using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo), and technical documentation for manufacturing processes and equipment layouts.
- Supervise the programming and operation of CNC machines, CAM programming (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and robot programming to automate production lines efficiently.
- Coordinate with process engineering teams to develop lean manufacturing strategies that reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall productivity.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards by establishing robust quality management systems and conducting regular audits of industrial equipment and manufacturing practices.
- Lead efforts in integrating vision inspection systems, industrial robotics, welding automation, plastics injection molding techniques, and other advanced manufacturing technologies into the production environment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing data, implementing best practices in factory experience management, and promoting team development in mechanical knowledge and industrial engineering disciplines.
- Extensive experience with CNC programming, CAM software (such as Mastercam or similar), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematics design.
- Strong background in project scheduling, process engineering, factory experience, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo for designing tooling layouts and technical schematics.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial equipment integration, robotics programming (including vision inspection systems), welding automation, and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes and assembly line optimization within a manufacturing facility setting.
- Mechanical engineering expertise combined with a solid understanding of industrial engineering principles to improve manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex machinery or process issues swiftly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, process engineers, technicians, and quality assurance personnel. This role offers an energetic environment where innovation meets precision engineering—perfect for leaders eager to shape the future of advanced manufacturing!
