Job Summary

Under minimal supervision ensure all materials submitted for CMM Inspetion are processed in a timely manner in accordance with company and customer requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

- CMM programming/setup & operation utilizing PC-DMIS software

- Online and offline programming of PC DMIS programs that will be utilized by other CMM operators

- Perform precision inspection verification on machined parts, components, assemblies and materials. May include but is not limited to First Article Inspection, in-process and final inspection of assemblies and materails for workmanship & conformance to specifications / drawing

- Ability to utilize other inspection equipment such as mrcrommeters, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and dial calipers

- Directly link CAD systems and measurements software through Direct CAD interface (DCI) technology.

- Blue print interpretation and strong understanding of GD&t.

- Approves or rejects items and documents inspection results as required. Communicates with internal customers as required to resolve inspection, engineering and manufacturing challenges

- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- High school or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred

- A minimum 5 years of recent experience utilizing PC-DIMUS software for CMM Inspection

- Must be familiar with MSOffice with the ability to prepare simple spreadsheets and inspection reports.

- The ability to write effectively, to read and understand work documents, to communicate information clearly to co-workers and supervisor.

- Passion, energy, sense of urgency, with a track record of setting goals and achieving them is required.

- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with leadership skills and growth potential required,

- The position also involves the ability to coach or mentor other member, through instruction and personal example.

- The ability to identify opportunities to improve current production processes and to implement the necessary steps for the improvements.

- The ability and desire to provide excellent service to internal customers,

- Functional understanding og ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements preferred

Physical Requirements

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate effectively. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, The position requires frequent lifting, pushing an pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

- Close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
