At Majestic Steel, we’re more than a steel service center — we’re a team of problem solvers, innovators, and relationship builders. We are seeking a Technical Support Intern to join our team! The Technical Support intern will assist in responding to service desk requests, basic troubleshooting, and special projects. You will play a key role in supporting technology, making a meaningful impact on Majestic Steel’s daily operations.
- Work Setting: Hybrid work schedule; onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, remote Monday and Friday
- Technology Offerings: Gain proficiency with modern technologies, including cloud-based platforms (Azure), cybersecurity tools, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Slack, VMware, Veeam, Microsoft 365, and Okta
- Impact: Enhance your skills with hands-on experience in a corporate IT environment while delivering responsive, reliable tech support that minimizes downtime keeps everyone productive
- Respond to Helpdesk Requests: Provide first-level support to local and remote associates, aiding in resolution of technical problems.
- Troubleshoot: Support troubleshooting efforts for hardware, software, printer, mobile device, and network connectivity issues under supervision.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions within the helpdesk ticketing system
- Support Team Efforts: Work collaboratively on large-scale projects and complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned
- Experience: Current student pursuing a degree in Information Technology or related field, familiarity troubleshooting and support of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications
- Skills & Abilities: Professional and friendly demeanor, ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical associates; detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to learning
- Additional: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and work efficiently in office, remote and warehouse settings
- Prior experience or internships in an IT support environment.
- Basic understanding of mobile device support (iOS, Android)
- Genuine passion for technology and strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth.
