The Technical Project Coordinator provides day‑to‑day coordination support for active engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning projects. Working closely with Project Managers and cross‑functional teams, this role coordinates and controls project documentation workflows — including transmittals, submittals, and version control — ensuring project records are accurate, complete, and submitted in accordance with contractual requirements through project closeout and final handover.

- Coordinate documentation workflows across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to support project execution
- Track document readiness, reviews, approvals, and submissions, flagging risks, gaps, and delays to the Project Manager
- Prepare, format, and submit customer deliverables, including managing transmittals, submittals, and related logs
- Maintain organized, up‑to‑date project records, version histories, and file structures in SharePoint, Bluebeam, and customer portals
- Follow up on open documentation action items to support timely resolution and clear cross‑functional handoffs
- Support procurement, construction, and commissioning documentation, including vendor submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and turnover packages
- Prepare documentation status summaries, meeting materials, and project records updates to support team and leadership communication
- Assist with project closeout by coordinating final documentation, commissioning packages, warranty records, and record handover
Here are the skills that you need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Generally five (5) years of experience supporting project coordination, technical documentation, or document control activities within an engineering, construction, industrial, or project‑based environment.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office (OneNote, Loop, PowerPoint, Lists).
- Experience with project documentation management, transmittal tracking, and submittal coordination within an engineering, procurement, construction, or design‑build environment (EP, EPC, EPCm, EPCmx).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple document sets simultaneously across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
- Ability to apply document naming conventions, revision numbering, and version tracking requirements consistently across varied project types and delivery models.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate directly with engineers, procurement leads, construction teams, and commissioning personnel on documentation matters.
- Ability to work independently within defined direction, identify potential issues, and escalate appropriately to the Project Manager or functional lead.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage time‑sensitive deliverables across multiple active projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on technical documentation prior to submission.
Here are the skills and qualifications that will set you apart
- Familiarity with customer data management portals or project information management systems used by utility or industrial clients.
- Experience with Concur expense reporting and Business Central or similar ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with ICxA ICA‑003 and documentation expectations within the ICA Global Commissioning Standard.
- Experience supporting commissioning documentation packages, punch list record management, or project closeout compilation.
- Familiarity with CII Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology and associated documentation for Engineering, Construction, and Installation Work Packages.
- Exposure to OEM equipment documentation practices in industrial, water, or wastewater project environments.
- Ability to work at a computer workstation and use a phone for extended periods
- Regularly required to move about the office and interact with team members
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
