Coordinates the formulation, monitoring and presentation of budgets for controlling funds to implement generation program objectives and is responsible for developing and maintaining all data critical to the financial analysis of the business site. The project analyst position formulates, monitors and maintains reports of costs for the business site. The position interfaces with the staff and coordinates the daily procurement and inventory functions for the business unit.
- Adhere to and support all safety and environmental rules, policies and procedures
- Financial Analysis: Prepares annual budgets by applying principals of accounting in reviewing records of present and past operations, trends and costs estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred
- Applies and maintains budgeting systems which provide control of expenditures made to carry out activities such as production, maintenance or to project activities for capital expenditures
- Develops reports which summaries and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of outage expenses, project expenses and summary of costs based on past, present and expected maintenance activities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Accurately writes and codes department requisitions for payment processing, and inputs coded invoices into the Oracle Financials for accounts payable processing
- Matches invoices to requisitions and verifies accuracy, and resolves inconsistencies when encountered
- Maintains an accurate vendor database and assures all vendor insurance and service contract requirements are met
- Procurement: Coordinates the procurement of materials, equipment and services to meet specifications and schedules
- Assists and advises department staff in preparing specification for all procurement activities including materials and services requested
- Analyzes materials and supply reports to determine status of inventories and recommends opportunities for improvement
- Participates in supply chain activities and committees as directed
- Develops purchasing strategies to ensure equipment, material and services are obtained in an efficient, cost-effective manner
- Warehouse: Responsible for inventory control including receipt of goods into warehouse stock, physical count of goods, comparison of goods to vendor packing documents and to purchase order, ensuring accuracy of shipment
- Issue stock items from warehouse inventory and record such transactions for reconciliation
- Administrative: Prepare, distribute and file reports, letters, spreadsheets, presentations and organize information that may be critical or sensitive
- Organize, maintain and control a filing system pertaining to all the facilities' records
- Schedule and arrange meetings, appointments, luncheons, conferences, presentations, travel arrangements, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of agendas and materials
- Review and process departmental time sheets for payroll
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Associate's or technical degree; relevant certification or equivalent work experience (typically three years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate or technical degree)
- Four years of related experience in budgeting or accounts payable
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of personal computer software applications; including spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling with Outlook and database
- Advanced leadership skills to direct the activities of individuals and/or teams toward the accomplishment of goals
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as requisitions, specifications, contracts and accounting reports
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, the general public and employees at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
