Easton Utilities is seeking a Superintendent of Plant & Interconnection Operations to oversee power plant operations, interconnection activities, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive plant operations experience, strong technical expertise, and proven leadership skills to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electric generation services.

HIRING RANGE: Annual salary of $111,291 or higher depending upon experience

JOB OBJECTIVE: Plan, coordinate, and manage facility infrastructure, maintenance operations, and capital improvement projects to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all company facilities. This role is responsible for overseeing building systems, managing maintenance programs, supporting engineering initiatives, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This is a full-time, exempt position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have well developed analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

- Must possess a technical and operational understanding of electric generation, transmission and distribution.

- Must have power plant operation experience for a minimum of ten years.

- Must be computer proficient and understand power plant operations and PJM interconnection accounting.

- Must also possess a high level of situational awareness.

- Must have training and experience in medium speed diesel engine installation.

- Must possess a Stationary Engineer License – First Grade OR obtain license within one year of being eligible based on current Stationary Engineer License progression.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Must possess a PJM Operator Certification.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Supervise operations division employees. Insure employees are productive and efficient in their responsibilities through effective training and development, timely constructive evaluations, proper delegation and follow-up.

- Supervise the interconnection accounting.

- Supervise the reporting of the production, interconnection and load to the various agencies and management.

- Responsible for the Hazmat program for all departments.

- Purchase and maintain the fuels for the power plant operations.

- Supervise obtaining and maintaining the necessary permits, licenses, manuals etc. for the facilities owned and operated by EU.

- Maintain knowledge of plant equipment and electric system.

- Be available as needed for emergency conditions in the power plant and substations.

- Enhance the Electric Department’s service and productivity by providing support to other employees, filling in and completing other duties as requested by Department Manager.

- Enhance Easton Utilities services and productivity capabilities by keeping the Electric Department Manager informed of all significant problems and concerns relating to these job responsibilities as well as broader issues that may arise.

- Develop and maintain federal and state mandated standards.

- Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement of this job.
