Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

KCSP Machine is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping, receiving, and material flow in a precision machining environment.

This role directly supports production, quality, and on-time customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate outbound shipments (UPS, LTL, freight) and prepare shipping documentation

- Determine and apply proper packaging methods (small parcel, palletized, or custom crated)

- Receive incoming materials, outside processing, and customer-supplied product

- Verify shipments against Vendor POs (material, quantity, and documentation)

- Perform inspections for damage or discrepancies

- Maintain accurate records in ERP system

- Effectively prioritize to support production flow and on-time delivery

- Perform and coordinate local pickups and deliveries, including outside processing vendors, to support production schedules

- Organize and manage scrap materials and coordinate pickups with recycling vendors

- Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklift, to move, stage, and organize materials

- Identify and resolve shipping/receiving issues and support process improvements

Qualifications

- 3–5+ years experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics in a manufacturing environment

- Experience with ERP or shop management systems and ability to work confidently in computer-based systems

- Strong attention to detail and organization

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop environment

- Comfortable working between office and shop floor

- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to perform local pickups/deliveries as needed with shop vehicle

Preferred

- Machine shop, aerospace, or precision manufacturing experience

- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100)

- Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)

Location: Kansas City Metro

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
