Position Scope:

Manage and coordinate the activities of the shipping department. Oversee shipping operations and execute tasks necessary relative to shipping scheduling, running and reviewing reports, interacting with customer service, carrier scheduling, and finished goods inventory reconciliation, routing guide oversight and knowledge of all customer shipping requirements.

Job Description:

- Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the shipping activities and budget of the department.

- Conduct finished goods related inventory as required by the organization.

- Develop and communicate shipping operations policies and procedures.

- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the shipping operations.

- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork.

- Remain current with the latest material management tools, technology and procedures.

- Maintain open dialogue with other management to coordinate activities and improve performance and productivity.

- Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility.

- Other responsibilities to be assigned.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 4 years' experience in shipping and or production environment.

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.

- Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

- MRP system knowledge is helpful.

- Communicates clearly and effectively.

- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently.

- Must be adept at handling pressure in various customer situations and working well under deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
