The Sr. Payroll Coordinator is responsible for providing cross-functional support to the HR team and for the day-to-day administration and processing of Company payroll using ADP Workforce Now. Maintains strict confidentiality and assists employees with payroll and administrative HR matters.
- Prepare employee paychecks and direct deposit remittances, maintaining payroll related information in an accurate and in compliance with state and federal laws
- Ensure accurate processing of all mandatory and voluntary deductions as well as garnishments, liens, direct deposit requests, deductions, etc.
- Assist employees with Time & Attendance issues in WFS.
- Serve as primary contract regarding payroll processing issues; research and resolve payroll related questions from employees and managers.
- Investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routing situations.
- Maintain and update employee data and records in HRIS systems and employee personnel files in Content Server.
- Deliver employee payroll checks and reports.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes to comply with all federal, local, and state regulations that impact payroll.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Facilitate employee understanding of payroll practices and procedures.
- Processes, maintains, and communicates taxable fringe benefits on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for exempt and assigned vehicles, education, housing, fitness memberships, and other benefits as applicable.
- Participates in quarterly expenditure and fringe benefit monitoring meeting
- Maintains departmental company credit cards and expense reporting.
- Assists with employee leave management administration as it pertains to payroll.
- Enter IT requests, as requested.
- Must have pervious experience specifically in payroll and/or payroll processing, preferably utilizing ADP Workforce Now
- Detail oriented with sound knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations including tax withholdings
- Strong experience operating in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).
- Strong understanding of payroll and tax withholding compliance obligations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently as well as within a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Possess strong ethical standards regarding the handling of confidential information
- Capable of effective planning and priority setting.
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge payroll processing.
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize ADP, WFN, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internal databases.
- Intermediate Excel Skills, and Intermediate/Advanced Word, PowerPoint.
