Overview:
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, reconciling payroll-related accounts, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, prior in-house payroll experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with HR, finance, and management teams.
- Process payroll; summarize, examine, post, verify, and reconcile payroll data.
- Maintain annual and quarterly payroll reports, including complete payroll transaction records.
- Coordinate, calculate, and post adjusting entries to appropriate subaccounts as approved.
- Reconcile reports, including but not limited to, taxes, retirement, and vendor accounts.
- Recommend, prepare, and document changes in payroll processing procedures.
- This is an onsite position (not remote).
- Previous payroll experience is required (5+ years preferred).- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred but not required.
- Prior payroll and in-house payroll experience.
- Experience with Lawson Software preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and taxes.
- Familiarity with FLSA regulations.
