is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and organized individual to fill the position of
Payroll Administrator. This full-time, diverse position is located in
Calgary,
Alberta, and has many detail-oriented duties to challenge the right candidate. This position reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide data entry support for payroll and occasional human resource processes.
- Utilize Workday and OSV to support calculating and processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly wages, deductions, benefits, and non-regular payments.
- Support the Payroll Manager in processing full-cycle and off-cycle payrolls.
- Generate payroll-related monthly, quarterly, year-end, and ad-hoc reports for human resources and finance teams.
- Reconcile payroll data, T4, and other required tax forms at the end of the year for employees.
- Maintain general ROE data and maintenance.
- Respond to general payroll inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations, employment standards, labour and privacy legislation, and Company policies.
- Carry out payroll-related timesheet maintenance.
- Support the Human Resources team when needed.
- Other duties as required.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a payroll position.
- Desire and/or willingness to pursue PCP Certificate.
- Experience with Workday and OSV payroll systems is an asset.
- General knowledge in payroll functions and/or administrative functions.
- Proactive with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to details and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with payroll matters and sensitive information.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset (pivot tables, v-lookups, nested formulas).
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Enjoys teamwork and collaboration with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline heavy environment.
