As a Project Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for integrating Procurement in the project management process and project teams from the ‘bid’ phase through to execution. This individual will organize, control and monitor all Procurement activities within the projects and introduce Procurement strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating result. This position will work with our New Unit Package team to support them through the lifecycle. Key areas of importance and focus will be cost competitiveness, quality of bid information, development of responsiveness targets and improvements in accordance with the agreed customer requirements using standard tools and methods.
- Analyze sales and operations planning for new projects and participate in sales/project meetings as a core team member to ensure early Procurement engagement and optimized supplier selection.
- Provide early input on supply markets, preferred suppliers, and supplier innovation (goods and services) to improve internal workflows, processes, and project outcomes.
- Act as the main interface to operational and strategic Procurement, driving procurement planning and target costing while ensuring compliance with regulations, organizational standards, and PM@Siemens.
- Analyze scope of supply, contractual obligations, and customer requirements; identify and manage procurement risks, opportunities, changes, and claims throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support bid preparation with reliable, up-to-date Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) data to improve cost accuracy and increase hit rates.
- Ensure supplier on-time delivery, manage inter-company project transactions, and provide transparent status updates to internal stakeholders while mitigating contractual and supply risks.- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Project Management & Procurement.
- Demonstrated results in achieving increasing value and significant savings for stakeholder & Customers.
- Self-motivated with a mind-set of challenging the existing status quo while exhibiting the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders
- A driven leader with excellent communication and organisational skills while possessing the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional project teams and business partners to achieve project goals
- Strong skill set in gaining marketplace intelligence and communicating the commercial impact of such information back to internal decision makers for timely resolution. Strong presentation, leadership and project management skills.
- Experience analysing proposals/bid packages and conducting supplier analysis.
