Responsibilities
What You Will Do as a Procurement ManagerAs a Procurement Manager At Lewis Services, You Will Lead And Support Procurement Sourcing Strategies Across The Organization, Ensuring Goods And Services Are Acquired Efficiently, Cost-effectively, And In Alignment With Business Goals. You Will
- Support corporate and operational supply chain initiatives, including material cost reductions and supplier discount strategies
- Lead the development and execution of category profiles and category strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Identify and execute value creation and cost reduction opportunities across assigned categories
- Update category strategies annually or as business needs evolve
- Serve as the lead for cross-functional teams, partnering with internal customers, finance, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement
- Strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure alignment to procurement strategies
- Drive contract compliance across the organization
- Develop and deliver reporting that provides transparency into procurement performance and opportunities
- Lead regional and national sourcing events and supplier negotiations through contract award
- Support implementation of awarded contracts, including supplier enablement and buying channel adoption
- Manage ongoing supplier relationships and conduct quarterly business reviews
- Track supplier performance and lead supplier improvement plans related to quality, delivery, and service
- Approve procurement-related transactions including purchase orders, credit card requests, PPV approvals, prepayments, supplier qualifications, and inventory adjustments
- Partner with leadership to ensure buying practices meet operational needs and cost targets
- Participate in new tools, systems testing, and serve as a superuser as needed
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures within the Supply Chain function
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related field
- 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles
- 4 or more years of experience in a leadership or manager-level role
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Experience working with ERP systems in a supply chain or procurement environment
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and procurement processes
- Master’s degree
- 10 or more years of procurement or supply chain experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience in vegetation management, construction, or manufacturing environments
- Bilingual capabilities
- Lean supply chain experience
- CPSM or CPM certification
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- ERP and procurement systems
- Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
- Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and copiers
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive keystrokes regularly
- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds
- Primarily office-based work environment
- Regular travel, including overnight travel by ground or air
