Metal and Wood Products (1958) Ltd. is a leading Custom Metal Fabrication Shop that specializes in design, fabrication and installation of high-end Architectural Metal details. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team and help manage the execution of custom metal fabrication projects from start to finish.

Stairs, Canopies, Art Sculptures, Gates, Railings, Handrails, Outdoor Kitchens, Glass and much more...

Position Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of custom metal fabrication projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities and project management principles.

Position includes, but not limited to:

- Lead and manage multiple custom metal fabrication projects from concept to completion.

- Do site measure/surveys and acquire all pertinent information for any given project.

- Work closely with clients/contractors to understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets.

- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation.

- Coordinate with Design, Engineering, CNC, Production, Finishing and Installation Teams to ensure smooth project execution.

- Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans and shop drawings.

- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.

- Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control.

- Procure materials, tools, and services required for fabrication and installation of projects.

- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients regarding project status.

- Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

- Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

- Conduct quality checks to ensure final product meet company standard.

Qualifications:

- Experience with Project Management of at least 2 years

- Experience with construction and/or building is an asset

- Experience with metal fabrication an asset

- Have a valid drivers license

- Be proficient in English

- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong team player

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

- Willingness to learn new skills and processes

- Knowledge of CAD software’s an asset

- Knowledge of project management software’s an asset
