Job Description: Project Coordinator – Solar Construction
Experience: 3+ Years in Solar or Construction (Preferred)
The Solar Project Coordinator supports the successful planning, execution, and tracking of solar construction
projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams to coordinate schedules,
documentation, materials, and reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable
with construction software, and able to analyze project data, create visual reports, and participate in project
meetings. This is primarily an office-based coordination role, not a field superintendent position.
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of solar construction projects.
- Create and maintain project schedules, task tracking, and progress reports, including charts and graphs.
- Manage project documentation using Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to assist with scope clarification and document control.
- Perform material research and takeoffs; assist with procurement tracking and material availability.
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting action items.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up items; participate in meetings.
- Maintain accurate project records, logs, and reports for schedule, cost, and quality tracking.
- Coordinate communication between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with QA/QC documentation and project closeout packages.
- 3+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, or Construction Support role (solar preferred).
- Familiarity with solar PV construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Excel required).
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, one-lines, and specifications.
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
- Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Basic understanding of NEC and solar electrical components.
- Experience supporting procurement or logistics for construction projects.
